1st Match
1st Half
Both
teams got off to a slow start, each unable to put their foot on the ball and
take charge of the game.
Ingleside won the ball and pushed it into the Fry’s area who failed to clear the ball properly and an Ingleside player shot from 18 yards out and put the home side 1-0 up.
Fry’s pressed hard straight
from the kick to keep the ball in the home sides half. Fry’s won a free kick 20
yards out that Mickey Parsons crossed onto the head of Jack Dancey
but he was unable to find the target.
Fry’s continue to keep the
ball in the home sides half and won another free kick which was intercepted by
Ingleside who broke free into the Fry’s half but were unable to beat defender
Jonathan Shorland.
Ingleside began to gain
confidence and pressed Fry’s back into their half and forced the visitors to
fight back with a run down the wing from Jack Dancey
who won a corner.
The corner was taken short
by Jack Dancey and Perry May but the final ball in
was unable to find a Fry’s player.
Again the play broke for
Ingleside to push forward into the Fry’s half but Fry’s were quick to defend
and break to release Ben Clapp who was unable to trouble the Ingleside keeper.
Fry’s having most of the
possession in this half were unable to find the equaliser.
2nd Half
Straight from the Ingleside kick Fry’s chased the ball down and a tackle from Perry May created a chance for Mickey Parsons who shot low at the keeper. His attempted save spun from his hands into the path of Ben Clapp who was unable to meet the ball clean and convert.
Ingleside replied with a good run down the wing that was shut down by Perry May & Charlie Goodwin.
Fry’s came back winning two corners but did not create any chances with them.
Again Ingleside managed to break free and win a corner from a good tackle from Joel Rowbottom. The corner was defended well by Mickey Parsons who passed up the wing for Perry’s cross to be headed out for a corner.
The corner was defended well by Ingleside but could not find the strength to penetrate the Fry’s defence.
With Fry’s having a lot of the possession again they were unable to find the net, loosing 0-1

2nd Match
1st Half
Fry’s started well with
plenty of tackles being won and accurate passes going forward.
Ingleside won the ball and
broke free with a one on one with the Fry’s Keeper only to shoot wide after a
last gasp tackle from Ben Watt.
Fry’s came straight back
with Kyle Morris crossing from the left for Nathan Munford to coolly slot the
ball home to take the lead, 0-1.
From The Ingleside kick
Fry’s won the ball straight back with Nathan Munford crossing for Mitchell
Thornton to drill the ball home, 0-2.
Ingleside made every effort
to attack the Fry’s defence only to come up against Corey Reid and Ben Watt in
defence.
Ingleside pushed forward
again with Corey winning the ball and passing forward to Mitchell Thornton who
crossed for Kyle who was unable to find the net with his shot.
Another run down the wing resulted in another
chance for Kyle who forced the Ingleside keeper to pull off a brilliant save.
Ingleside replied with a
strong run into the Fry’s penalty area but a strong tackle from Nathan Munford
turned defence into attack with a neat pass to Ben Harper who ran the length of
the pitch skipping over tackles and blasting the ball into the back of the net
from 5 yards to make it 3-0.
2nd Half
Fry’s
started this half the way they finished the first with crunching tackles going
in at the back and good passes setting up the midfield to open up the play.
Fry’s
still pressing forward, Ingleside intercepted a pass
and broke free into the Fry’s half but was tackled from behind by Ben Harper,
giving away a free kick that was taken by the Ingleside keeper who wasted his
effort by shooting wide.
Fry’s now
controlling the game well and Ingleside struggling to win possession the
visitors were unable to find the net in this half with shots from Ben Watt,
Nathan Munford and Ben Harper.
A solo
run from Mitchell Thornton saw his shot force a brilliant save from the home
keeper.
Ingleside
attacked Fry’s defence with their best effort forcing a save from keeper Jake Woolley who fed the ball straight back to the Fry’s midfield
players that set up Mitch Thornton who’s shot was stopped with another
excellent save from Ingleside keeper.
